Sallea Antiques is the longest established specialist in
antique boxes of all types and shapes in the United States.
True to our business motto,
"Boxes Are Our Business."
As an outgrowth of a highly successful
20-year interior design practice in the New York metropolitan
area, Sallea Antiques’s founder. Sally B. Kaltman, imported
and installed a diverse range of small, elegant antique accessories
for her clientele.
These items included a magnificent collection of 17th, 18th
and 19th century boxes of all types, shapes and materials,
representative of the finest, craftsmanship of those periods
including antique tea caddies,
fitted boxes, writing
boxes and desks accessories, French
boxes, crystal boxes and
games and game boxes.
In addition, other elegant antique accessories such as oriental
porcelains (Japanese porcelain (Imari)
and Chinese Export Porcelain),
brass implements, paintings, old books and select furniture,
originating mainly from England, France, the Far East and
America were acquired and placed for clients.
Not all the categories of antiques we carry are represented
here on the web site so please contact
us with your inquires. Needless to say, pictures and descriptions
of any objects in our large and ever changing inventory also
are readily available upon request.
In the early 1970's, Sallea formalized itself as a stand-alone
business entity, predicated on all of the aforementioned categories
of antiques accessories and has since evolved into the world-reputed
enterprise that it is, today.

With a magnificent, spacious gallery, continuously occupied
in New Canaan, Connecticut since 1989, Sallea Antiques also
has enjoyed decades of repeated participation in some of the
most prestigious antiques shows presented annually across
the United States, including such locations as Houston TX,
Boston MA, New York NY, Washington DC, Chicago IL, Palm Beach
FL, Naples FL, Detroit MI, Nantucket MA, etc. See the Show
